WORKSHOPS

Rapid Recall

Recall Workshop 2.jpg

Sick of seeing your dog’s bum disappear off into the distance or your dog turning deaf when you want them to come back to you? Frustrating isn’t it!

We want our dogs to have as much exercise as possible, but its annoying being that dog owner continually calling your dog and being ignored. Then this workshop will change everything for you!

Recall is an important skill, not only to stop us looking like idiots, but also for our dog’s safety. Its something a lot of dog owners struggle with. This workshop will help motivate your dog to want to come back to you. It will give you the tools to deal with different situations and environments, building a solid basis to a strong and lasting recall.

Make recall fun for you and your dog!

As with all of our training, you will be sent notes of everything we covered during the workshop. This means you can look back through them at a later date and remind yourself of what your dog really enjoyed and motivated them to come back. If your recall starts to fade, you have your notes to look back on to get you, and your dog, back on track.

We might notice if our coffee’s been sweetened with a teaspoon of sugar; a dog can detect a teaspoon of sugar in a million gallons of water: two Olympic-sized pools full.” – Alexandra Horowitz

Scent is our dog’s number one sense, its a world we cannot even imagine. Lots of people struggle with keeping their dogs focus when outside. One of the main distractions is scent. This workshop will teach you to harness that power so you can use it, rather than it working against you.

Scentwork is a fantastic way to tire our dogs out, build confidence and tap into a whole world we know little about. It can be used out on walks to increase focus, or in the house to build your bond and teach your dog that good things come from you, not just the outside world.

Each dog goes away with their own scentwork kit, so they can practice everything they have learnt back at home.

Dogs pulling on the lead can cause misery. It results in back and shoulder pain for owners and that horrible rasping noise from the dog. Constant pulling on the lead is known to cause health problems; including damage to the dog's eyes and thyroid. It can also lead to large physiotherapy bills for the owner.

Dedicated to Dogs can help you put the fun back into your walks, with our Loose Leaders workshop. We teach you how to get your dog's focus and, most importantly, how to keep it. You are shown appropriate equipment to make your, and your dog's lives easier. As well as the practical skills to create the constant conversation needed to build reliable loose lead walking.
