TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions are in place for the safety and welfare of our clients. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will come into effect immediately. It is the responsibility of our clients to read these terms and conditions in full.
Please make sure you have read and understood the terms and conditions before you make a booking. By placing a booking, you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to them.
Methods
Dedicated to Dogs is a member of both the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. As part of being a member of both these associations Dedicated to Dogs must adhere to their code of ethics. This includes using force free, scientifically based, modern methods. Harsh handling is discouraged with the use of positive reinforcement taking place instead. All training is confidential between dog trainer and client.
Dedicated to Dogs does not allow the use of any piece of equipment that can cause pain and discomfort. This includes slip leads, choke chains, pinch collars, shock collars, citronella collars, rattle cans, spray bottles, compressed air canisters or any other device or method that can potentially cause harm, pain, suffering or fear to the dog. Any clients who continue to use such methods including harsh handling, despite being asked not to do so, will be asked to leave class or the one to one session with no refund given.
Bookings
All bookings (classes, one to ones, agility or behavioural work) must be paid in advance via BACS transfer via invoice, Stripe, Square or Paypal. Until payment has been received the booking has not be confirmed. By placing a booking you are deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions.
Confirmation of your booking will be sent via email. This may go into the client’s junk folder. Checking there is the client’s responsibility. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they arrive at the right venue at the correct time. The client is also responsible for making sure they select the right service which they wish to complete with Dedicated to Dogs.
Training Classes
Booking and payment in advance is needed to secure a place on any Dedicated to Dogs classes. Places are limited to allow for appropriate dog to trainer ratio. Payments for lessons are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Refunds cannot be given once the course has commenced. Payment for classes is for the stated number of consecutive weeks, non attendance will result in the loss of that week’s fee (unless the class is cancelled by Dedicated to Dogs. If that is the case payment for the cancelled lesson will be refunded at the end of the course if a date cannot be rearranged by Dedicated to Dogs) Please notify us if you will miss any classes.
You must not knowingly book a dog onto any course or workshop which shows aggression or nervousness. We reserve the right to excuse any dog that is aggressive or deemed not to be coping in class. If you do not advise us of the potential problems and disclose it in the booking process and your dog displays any aggression in class, you will not be entitled to a refund. If you are unsure if your dog will be suitable for classes and have not contacted us to discuss and assess your dog before your attendance, you will not be refunded if your dog is not suitable for the class which you have booked.
If we agree your dog can attend class but the dog is not suited to the class environment, we will offer you a one to one session with any additional costs having to be covered by the client.

Dedicated to Dogs may move sessions online at their own discretion. This may be due, but not limited to, weather or health restrictions.
Make sure all puppies and dogs have been allowed a toilet break before class so they enter the environment comfortable and empty. Always clear up after your dog. Take home all used poo bags, do not leave these on the premises or outside in the car park. Anyone found not to do so will be asked to leave with immediate effect and no refund given.
When arriving at class avoid meeting the other dogs on lead. Not all dogs are sociable and being in a new environment may react as a consequence. Do not allow dogs to play with one another outside or inside the venue unless instructed to do so. As this causes over excitement, frustration and lack of attention during the session. Do not crowd doorways or corridors, allowing plenty of space for dogs to exit and enter the room. On arrival enter the hall/training field when requested to do so and take a seat. Do not let dogs off lead or drop leads unless instructed to do so by the instructor. The client is solely responsible for their dog’s behaviour.
It may be beneficial to exercise dogs before class with a short walk. Do not over exercise dogs before class otherwise they will be too tired and aren’t likely to want to work. It is also a good idea to bring a kong or other food dispensing toy to class to amuse dogs while things are being discussed, preventing frustration such as barking.
Consideration of other clients is paramount and mobile phones should be switched off or placed on silent when in class. We ask that phone calls are not taken while in class. Photography or videoing is not permitted in class. We may occasionally record videos and take photos in class. Please make us aware if you are not comfortable with that and if you do not wish to appear. We will also always ask if the clients are happy to be photographed/filmed.
Information given during any session is believed to be true and accurate at the date which it is delivered however, we will not take responsibility for any misinterpretation of this advice.

We do encourage children and other family members to attend class however this must be checked with the instructor beforehand if it will be more than two individuals attending with any one dog. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children must behave appropriately with no running, shouting, inappropriate petting and must not be a distraction to other dogs. Young children can struggle in the training environment becoming easily bored. It can also be challenging to supervise children and train the dog. If you bring any technology such as tablets or mobile phones to class to keep children amused, please make sure they are on silent.

Monthly Subscription Classes
Terms and conditions for Monthly subscription classes:
These classes run on a monthly subscription that is taken on the 1st of each month.
Once you subscribe, Dedicated to Dogs will automatically process your monthly payment in the next billing cycle. We will continue to process your monthly payment each month until you cancel or pause your subscription.
By purchasing a monthly subscription, you agree to an initial and recurring monthly subscription fee at the then-current monthly subscription rate. You accept responsibility for all recurring charges until you cancel your subscription. You may cancel or pause your monthly subscription at any time, subject to the terms of our cancellation policy. This must be done in writing via email. If Dedicated to Dogs cancel a class for any reason during the month, the payment will be adjusted on the next month’s subscription.
If you are planning to be off during the upcoming month and will miss any classes, please let us know by the end of the month, before the next payment is taken, we will adjust your monthly payment. It is the client’s responsibility to make us aware of any absences prior to the monthly subscription being taken. If we are notified of any absences due to be taken that month, once the subscription has already been taken they will not be refunded, neither will the classes be carried forward.

Classes Cancellation Policy
Refunds will not be given once the course has commenced. Any cancellations must be given 48 hours before the class or workshop commences. All refunds incur a £25 administration fee. No refunds are given for non-attendance to the course. Refunds for monthly subscriptions will not be given once the payment has been taken. The client must make Dedicated to Dogs aware, via email, seven days prior to the payment being processed on the 1st of the month.
The venue may at short notice cancel the use of the room. If this should happen, we will contact you as soon as possible. Insufficient numbers booked on any course may cause that set or classes or workshop to be cancelled. You will be notified of future course dates or offered a private session. If this is not possible a full refund will be given.
Dedicated to Dogs reserves the right to change any appointment at any time. We will, where possible, always rearrange the appointment. Any refunds given are at the discretion of Dedicated to Dogs and are considered on an individual basis.
Dog’s Health and Wellbeing
Dog’s health and wellbeing is paramount to Dedicated to Dogs. Any dogs who are unfit to partake in class due to illness, injury or disease should not be brought to class. Any dog with a disease which is infectious such as kennel cough should not be placed into an environment where it can mix with other dogs. If you are unsure of the cause of your dog symptoms, then a vet must be consulted. You are welcome to attend class without your dog should they fall ill or become injured to keep up to date with the training process. No refund will be offered to owners who dogs fall ill during the course.
Dogs should be vaccinated or have a titre test to prove immunity levels. Puppies can attend class after their first vaccination. Verification of this must be supplied at the first class with puppies. It is advised that puppies who haven’t finished their vaccination course are not allowed to walk on the floor outside the venue and should be carried to and from the car.
Should your bitch come into season then please make us aware ASAP. We will look at the individual situation, such as other dogs attending the course and your dog’s demeanour, to see whether we deem it suitable for them to still attend. If we feel it is not suitable, we will try to offer an alternative where possible. If this cannot be done a refund may be given. For dogs attending subscription classes we will carry the sessions forward to the next month.
Start and Finish Times
It is important you attend class on time giving time for the dogs to settle into the environment. Dogs entering late causes disruption to other dogs. Classes normally have a fifteen minute interval between sessions to allow for dogs exiting and entering as well as brief discussions. The instructors reserve the right to ask clients to remove themselves from the premises to allow the other class to enter the venue. This should be done in a timely manner.
Equipment and Clothing
Training involves practical handling and means appropriate shoes and clothing is a must. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended for safety reasons. Some training does require clients to get down on the ground and therefore suitable clothing is recommended.
Insurance
Dedicated to Dogs has relevant business insurance to provide the services it does. We advise our clients to adequately insure their dogs including third party liability insurance.
One to One Training and Behaviour Consultations
Payment for one to one training sessions and behavioural consultations is for the number of sessions stated. Payment must be made to secure the session. Any session paid for must be taken within a 6 month period of that date. Non attendance, whether that be the client not turning up to the appointment or the client not being at home at the appointment time will result in the loss of the payment. Every effort will be made to contact the client, this will be done via phone call and text. If the client cannot be reached the instructor will wait for a ten minute period before leaving. If a client wishes to rearrange a session within 48 hours of the appointment time a £25 charge will be incurred. Cancelling a scheduled appointment will result in the loss of the payment unless otherwise agreed between both parties.
The appointment is for a set time period of an hour, an hour and a half or two hour period This will be confirmed both in writing and verbally. If the client is late for the session it will still end at the stated time regardless, this may mean the session is cut short.
Dedicated to Dogs reserve the right to change the timing, date or venue of classes or one to one sessions in order to provide a high quality service or where it is necessary for reasons beyond our control.
Sessions will take place at your home or suitable location agreed prior to the session. Any parking fees or other charges such as congestion fees will be paid for via the client. Sessions further than 10 miles from Dedicated to Dogs address will incur a fee of 45p per mile including the return journey. There is an additional charge of £25 for sessions after 5pm on weekdays or at weekends.

It is the others responsibility to not allow that animal to do hard in the future. Precautions that should be taken include keeping the dog on a lead, muzzling, not mixing with other dogs or people, only exercising the animal in fenced off private areas and making others aware of the animal aggressive tendencies. Owners are responsible for their animal’s behaviour at all time and correct insurance should be sort to cover the pet for liability in the event damage or injury be done to property or to a third party.
Success
Dedicated to dogs always strives to provide our clients with the best possible service and holds ourselves to the highest standards. However, when dealing with animals there are multiple components that create any behaviour. There are no quick fixes when dealing with behaviour modification and the success that can be achieved is dictated but not limited to; the time and dedication the owner/family put into the training and management of the dog, how effectively the behaviour modification plan is implemented, the dog’s genetics, their upbringing and if pain is an element which has not been fully explored. Due to such we cannot guarantee that the methods we recommend will completely eradicate the problem. Each dog is an individual and must be treated as such. Just as with people, when overcoming fears and phobias some take longer than others and some are limited to a level of success.
When working with us we look at building your understanding of your dog’s behaviour, as well as coaching you how to train the dog. This is a new skill and will take time to learn. You and your dog are essentially learning together. Our behaviour packages are aimed at diagnosing the source of the issue, providing initial management and training steps needed to start addressing the problem. With behavioural problems it is likely further sessions will be needed to continue this progress, further medical investigation and rehabilitation may be required including physiotherapy and hydrotherapy and, in some cases, veterinary medication may need to be applied. Dedicated to Dogs can provide support with all of the above. This allows us to really help both the dog’s and their owners to find and reach appropriate training goals.
