Covid - 19 Statement

Further to the latest government advice in relation to COVID-19: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/staying-alert-and-safe-social-distancing/staying-alert-and-safe-social-distancing and guidance from the Canine & Feline Support Group: http://www.cfsg.org.uk/coronavirus/SiteAssets/SitePages/Home/29th%20May%202020%20Animal%20Business%20Guidance.pdf, the following outline is the position of Dedicated to Dogs and applies to all clients.

  • All training to take place outside.

  • Designated area to park for your class. This will be communicated to you prior to class. Ample space will be allowed between cars. Please stay in your cars until the previous class has left and you are instructed to approach.

  • One handler per dog allowed on the field. If you bring someone else, they will have to wait in the car.

  • Maximum of six people allowed during training sessions. Including instructor and on occasion an assistant. Leaving five or four places for clients.

  • 2m social distancing to be adhered to at all times.

  • Owners to only touch their own dog. No approaching or touching other people's dogs.

  • Dogs will be kept apart with no dog to dog interaction.

  • You must bring all your own equipment and treats. This includes water bowl, water, toys, mat and longline.

  • There is no access to toilets.

  • Designated training area for you and your dog which you should remain in unless instructed otherwise.

  • Hand sanitiser available but clients also advised to bring their own where possible.

If you are or have been ill, have recently been to an infected area or in contact with someone from an infected area please follow the government guidance for self-isolation.
Please inform Dedicated to Dogs if you have been tested for the virus so we can issue a statement to the other owners.
